What this site collects
One page, in plain terms: what is collected, why, and where it goes.
The contact form
The form on this site asks for your first name, last name, business name (optional), email address, phone number, the service you need, and an optional message. Nothing else.
When you submit it, those details go to Formspree, a form-handling service, which forwards them by email toConsult@greenbooksinc.com — Johanna's own inbox. Your address is set as the reply-to, so her reply reaches you.
Formspree also keeps a copy of what you sent in its own dashboard, which Johanna can log into. So there are two places it exists: her inbox, and Formspree's records.
This site itself has no database. Nothing you send is stored on this website.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records which pages were opened, roughly what part of the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and how you arrived here. It does not record your name, and it is not connected to anything you type into the form.
It works by storing a cookie on your device so that a return visit is not counted twice. That data goes to Google, and Johanna sees it as totals rather than as individual people. You can block it in your browser settings, or with the opt-out extension Google publishes.
Advertising
If you arrived from a Google ad and then pressed "Book a consultation", the site tells Google Ads that the booking happened. That is how it is possible to tell which ads are worth running. What is sent is the fact of the conversion — not your name, and nothing you type into the form.
Unlike the analytics above, this does store an advertising cookie on your device and is visible to Google beyond this site. You can block it in your browser settings, with an ad blocker, or through Google's own personalised-ads settings.
To be plain about the scope: Google may also add this visit to an audience list of hers, which is what makes it possible to show you Green Books ads again on other sites. The same settings above turn that off.
What this site does not do
- What you send through the form is not sold or passed to anyone.
- Neither the analytics nor the ad measurement is joined up with anything you type into the form.
What the form does not ask for
The form does not ask for a Social Security number, a driver's licence or state ID number, or any bank account or card number. If you need to send something like that for bookkeeping or tax work, it is arranged separately and never through this form.
How long it is kept, and how to have it deleted
What you send stays as an email in Johanna's inbox, and as a copy in Formspree's dashboard, alongside the rest of her correspondence. It is kept while it is still useful for answering your enquiry or for the work that follows from it, and it is deleted when you ask.
To have what you sent deleted, email Consult@greenbooksinc.com or call (617) 249-4109. The person who replies is the person who does the work — there is no department here.
